Cherokee Trail Elementary is excited to announce that we have been recognized as a Palmetto Gold High Performing School on the South Carolina Report Card for 2024-2025!

The work of 165 Cherokee Trail artists is now on display at the Abbeville County Library. Stop by the library any time now through April 29th to view our school's art show. The library will be hosting a reception for our students and families this Thursday, April 16th, from 6-7 PM. If your child has artwork on display at the art show, Mrs. Womble sent certificates home before spring break. Hope to see a lot of our artists and their families Thursday evening!

Please view the attached flyer for information about cheer tryouts at Dixie!

Welcome back! We hope everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable spring break. As we return tomorrow, please remember that school begins promptly at 7:45 each morning, so be sure to arrive on time and ready to learn. Also, make sure you are following all dress code expectations. Let’s stay focused, work hard, and finish the year strong—we’re in the home stretch!

Although her title may not officially be Assistant Principal, we want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate Mrs. Davis for the incredible impact she makes and all she does to support CTE!

Happy National School Librarian Day, Mrs. Silver!

We are thankful for Ms. Amick, Mrs. Gray, Mrs. Lollis, Mrs. Laudenbacher, and Ms. Bevill! They go above and beyond for ALL students at CTE!

Spring Break begins tomorrow (April 3)! Students will return to school on Monday (April 13).
Mrs. Womble's 3rd-grade GATE students wrote friendly letters to the State Treasurer as part of a financial literacy activity. Nash Rich's name was drawn from all of the entries as one of 400 statewide winners of a $529 contribution to a 529 account. Congratulations Nash!

Freshwater Coast Community Foundation (FCCF) is working with schools, libraries, and community organizations to sponsor Drop Everything And Read (DEAR) Month. The month of April will be dedicated to families putting a pause on their day, grabbing a book, and enjoying the joy of reading. FCCF and partners will bring readers into public spaces to celebrate reading together. We are thrilled to partner with 31 organizations to host 48 reading events in 3 counties! The events are open to the public at no cost.
