Eli McClain, and former CTE student and a senior at Dixie High School, stopped by to visit the 5th graders at Cherokee Trail. He shared information about the equipment modern-day cowboys use at rodeos. He also spoke to students about how he got started in the different rodeo events. He participates in Calf Roping, Team Roping and Bull riding. He has won several Champion buckles in his career. He will compete at the South Carolina High School Rodeo State Finals in Clemson May 26-28. He begins college this fall and he has a full college scholarship at Howard College in Big Springs, Texas. We are so proud of Eli and love that he represents our schools and community so well!
