We were honored to have a visit from House Representative Craig Gagnon at Cherokee Trail today! At the request of American Legion Post 2, he visited today and presented flags that had flown over the Capitol in Columbia, SC, to Quinn Ashley, Jacob Hallows, and Grant Partain.

Each year, School and District Report Cards are posted on the South Carolina Department of Education’s website. These Report Cards provide information about each school and district, including test performance, teacher qualifications, student safety, awards, parent involvement, and much more.

Please join us on Thursday, Nov. 20 at 8:30 a.m. for our Terrific Kids celebration honoring students selected in October and November.

Dixie High School football players and cheerleaders spent some time reading to our K–5 students on Halloween! Our elementary students loved having these high school role models visit their classrooms and share the joy of reading. Thank you to our Dixie High School athletes and cheerleaders for inspiring our young learners and spreading school spirit!

Accelerated Reader (AR) gives our students the chance to choose books at their own reading level and then take a short quiz to check their understanding. We are so proud of all the students who met their AR goal for the first nine weeks!

To celebrate, our 2nd–4th-grade students enjoyed a fun afternoon of bingo and a popcorn bar with Mrs. Crawford, while our 5th–6th-grade students were treated to pizza, a popcorn bar, and an exciting Mario Kart tournament in Dr. Newton’s office!

Shout-out to our amazing 1st graders, teachers, and chaperones who attended the field trip! They represented CTE so well on their trip to Cedar Post Tree Farms and were even complimented on their behavior!

Congratulations to Mrs. Biggerstaff’s class! Every student reached their AR goal for the 1st nine weeks and enjoyed a special day of reading outside.

Trunk or Treat Hosted by the Dixie High School National Honor Society!

A big thank you to the Donalds Fire Department for joining us and helping our students learn during Fire Safety Week!

Students are expected to use the same method of transportation home each day. Any change must be submitted in writing, approved in advance by the front office, and should be limited to emergencies. Phone calls will not be accepted for transportation changes.

Frequent or last-minute changes can disrupt our transportation system and may impact student safety and the orderly operation of buses, as outlined in district policy.

CTE 2nd Graders will take CogAt/Iowa Tests on the following dates: October 14th, 15th, & 16th and October 21st, 22nd & 23rd. Please add these dates to your calendars!

There will be no school for students on Friday, October 3rd. Fall Break will be the following week (Oct. 6-10), and we will see our students back on Oct. 13th!
